Air fryer Cinnamon Rolls

These air fryer cinnamon rolls are easy to make and taste great. Plus, they're a healthier option than traditional cinnamon rolls. They are perfect for the fall season and a great addition to vegetarian meals: vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free options.

Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 3 tbsp butter vegan, non-dairy, melted
  • 2 1/4 tsp yeast self-rising, or instant
  • 8 oz almond milk or coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar raw or organic
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

Filling

  • 3 tbsp butter melted, vegan
  • 1/4 cup sugar raw or organic
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon ground, to taste

Frosting

  • sugar raw or organic
  • cream cheese frosting
  • almond milk

Instructions
 

Fluffy Dough

  • In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, raw sugar, cinnamon, almond milk, melted vegan butter, vanilla extract, and kosher salt. Mix them well until everything is incorporated.
  • On a floured surface, knead the dough until fluffy and light, and let the dough rise. Set them aside.

Flavorful filling

  • In a mixing bowl, mix the melted vegan butter, ground cinnamon, and raw sugar. Mix them well until thickened. Set them aside.

Creamy Frosting (optional)

  • Mix the raw sugar, almond milk, and vegan cream cheese. Mix them well until combined and thickened.

Air fry the dough!

  • Preheat the air fryer to 320F and grease the parchment paper.
  • Using a spatula, fill or spread the cut dough with the filling mixture and roll it out to form a cinnamon roll like in the picture, and place them on parchment paper.
  • On an air fryer, place the cinnamon rolls and air fry them for 30–40 minutes, or until golden brown, and allow them to cool.
  • Garnished with frosting and spread with melted vegan butter on top, enjoy!

Notes

Storing Tips
  • Store them for up to 2-3 days in an airtight container and fridge them for up to 4-5 days.
