- 4 medium Yukon Gold potatoes or use 2 large russet
- ice water
- salt, pepper, other seasonings of choice
- 1 tbsp olive oil or use cooking spray
Use a sharp knife, mandolin slicer, or food processor with a slicing blade to slice the potatoes into thin slices.
In a large bowl, place the slices and cover with ice water. Allow to soak for 20 minutes or more.
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F or according to the manufacturers suggestions.
Drain the potatoes. Pat them completely dry. The drier they are, the crispier the final chips will be.
Season the chips with salt and oil, as well as any other seasoning of choice.
Place them in a single layer in your air fryer. You may be able to use 2-layers but they will be slightly less crispy.
Cook for 10 minutes, toss to turn, cook another 10 minutes until cooked and crispy.
Serve warm with your favorite sauce.
