Ingredients

  • 4 medium Yukon Gold potatoes or use 2 large russet
  • ice water
  • salt, pepper, other seasonings of choice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or use cooking spray

Instructions

  • Use a sharp knife, mandolin slicer, or food processor with a slicing blade to slice the potatoes into thin slices.
  • In a large bowl, place the slices and cover with ice water. Allow to soak for 20 minutes or more.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F or according to the manufacturers suggestions.
  • Drain the potatoes. Pat them completely dry. The drier they are, the crispier the final chips will be.
  • Season the chips with salt and oil, as well as any other seasoning of choice.
  • Place them in a single layer in your air fryer. You may be able to use 2-layers but they will be slightly less crispy.
  • Cook for 10 minutes, toss to turn, cook another 10 minutes until cooked and crispy.
  • Serve warm with your favorite sauce.
