Apple Cinnamon Waffles

Flour Mixture:
- 8 oz. all-purpose flour gluten-free option: choose certified gluten-free flour.
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon ground
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp maple syrup or use raw sugar
Apple mixture:
- 1 tbsp flax seed stir them into 3 tbsp of water.
- 8 oz. almond milk or any plant-based milk
- 4 tbsp butter vegan, melted, or substitute coconut oil
- 1 medium apple grated, peeled
Best served with:
- whipped cream for the toppings, optional
- pinch cinnamon
- maple syrup drizzled, optional
Ready your waffle iron!
In a medium bowl, combine the flour mixture ingredients. Mix them well until incorporated.
In a separate bowl, combine the apple mixture. Mix well till the apples are coated with the mixture.
Combine the all-purpose flour mixture and apple mixture until the dough forms.
Now, cook them in a waffle iron for at least 5–6 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
Drizzled with maple syrup or topped with whipped cream or cinnamon. Enjoy!
