Apple Cranberry Crisp
This apple cranberry crisp is savory and healthy perfect for any occasion, especially in the fall season and on Thanksgiving day! Filled with fresh or frozen apples and cranberries with the additional flavor of ground cinnamon and zesty flavor: orange juice and orange zest, and topped with old-fashioned oats and walnuts or pecans. In addition, they are best when serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Apple-Cranberry Mixture:
- 2 medium apple peeled and sliced
- 3/4 cup cranberries fresh or frozen, thawed
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon ground
- 5 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp orange juice and 2 tbsp of orange zest: optional
Top with:
- 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar unrefined
- 1 tsbp butter melted, vegan: homemade or store-bought
- 1/4 cup walnuts or use pecans, chopped
Make apple cranberry crisp!
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a baking tray or dish, mix the apples, cranberries, unrefined sugar, ground cinnamon, orange juice and zest, and all-purpose flour. Mix them well.
In a mixing bowl, mix all the toppings ingredients till they are incorporated, and topped or spread them into an apple-cranberry mixture.
In a preheated oven, bake for at least 55-60 minutes or until the fruits become tender.
Allow to completely cool and serve with whipped cream or vegan ice cream. Enjoy!
