Banana Cream Pie Overnight Steel-Cut Oats

Steel-cut oats soaked in banana cream pie and chia are a quick and healthful make-ahead breakfast. This recipe is easy to make and perfect for on-the-go mornings. Simply mix together steel-cut oats, almond milk, and fresh banana, then store in the fridge overnight. In the morning, top with fresh bananas and almonds for a delicious breakfast treat!

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz steel-cut oats
  • 2-3 tbsp chia seeds or any seeds you preferred
  • 2 1/2 cups almond milk any dairy-free or plant-based milk
  • 3 tbsps maple syrup alternatively use agave, swerve
  • 1 large banana mashed
  • 6 oz Greek yogurt plain, dairy-free, low fat
  • banana toppings, optional
  • almonds nuts, optional

Instructions
 

  • In a mason jar or large bowl, place all the ingredients. Combine well.
  • Let them sit in the fridge overnight or until 5-6 hours.
  • Top with sliced bananas and almond nuts, before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • If you don't want to use maple syrup simply substitute sweetened yogurt.
  • Feel free to mash the bananas if they turn brown and it bothers you.
