  • 2 cup dill pickles drained, sliced
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup water
  • tsp cajun seasoning
  • ½ tsp italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper ground
  • peanut or vegetable oil for frying or use an air fryer

Instructions
 

Let's Begin!

  • For Deep Frying: In a pot over medium-high heat, heat 1 inch of peanut or vegetable oil until a deep-fry thermometer registers 375°F.
  • For Air Frying: Set the air fryer to 375°F.
  • Spread the pickles on paper towels, then pat them dry.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the flour, cajun seasoning, Italian seasoning, cayenne, salt, pepper, and water until smooth.
  • Add half of the pickles to the batter and toss to coat. Remove from the batter using a slotted spoon, letting the excess drip off.
  • If Deep Frying, add them to the hot oil one at a time, then fry until golden brown. Immediately drain on paper towels to remove extra oil.
  • If Air Frying, lay the coated pickles in parchment paper or aluminum foil before placing them in the air fryer. Air fry for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve warm, and enjoy with family and friends!
