Ingredients
- 1 large ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
- 1/4 cup minced white onion
- 1 firm* tomato, diced (remove seeds)
- ½ cup chopped cilantro
- 1 Serrano pepper, (seeded and deveined) minced
- 1 Tablespoon fresh Lime juice* tomato should not be overripe. A firm texture works best.
Directions
- Place avocado in a bowl and mash with a fork
- Add lime juice and stir.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Mix to combine
- Serve fresh or chill until you are ready to use
Easy Guacamole Recipe #2
Guadalajara restaurants often serve this verion
Ingredients
- 1 large ripe avocado, peeled, pitted, slightly mashed
- 2 green tomatillos, finely chopped
- 1/4 white onion, minced
- 1 T lime juice
Directions
- Place avocado in a bowl
- Add lime juice and stir.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Mix to combine
- Serve fresh or chill until you are ready to use

Authentic Avocado Guacamole Nutritional Powerhouse with a kick of jalapeno
Ingredients
- large Hass avocados (black in color, slightly soft to the press)
- Juice of 2 large limes
- 1 medium white onion, diced
- 3/4 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- 1 large tomato*, diced
- finely chopped jalapeno pepper
*tomato should be firm and not overly ripe
Directions
- Place avocado in a bowl
- Add lime juice and stir.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Mix to combine
- Serve fresh or chill until you are ready to use
Avocado Guacamole Nutritional Powerhouse Recipes
These three recipes show similarities. But they show the slight variations you might use to create your own version, too. However, don’t stop here. If you prefer a bit more kick, increase the heat with more or hotter peppers. Want a little more color? Again, make it yours with your favorite garnish. Additionally, if you like a chunky guacamole, mash it less. However, if you prefer a smooth texture, mash away!
IMPORTANT NOTE: The lime juice in each recipe must be added!
