Health benefits
Vegan pepper jack cheese is becoming increasingly popular with health-minded individuals who are looking for dairy alternatives. It’s made using Coconut Milk, along with Jalapeno and Bell Pepper for an added zesty kick. What’s interesting is that this vegan alternative contains similar levels of fat, protein, salt, and dietary fiber as traditional cheeses. All this makes it a convenient option for someone who still wants to indulge their taste buds without compromising on their diet plans.
Coconut Milk
Rich in essential vitamins and minerals, Coconut Milk also provides numerous health benefits including weight management, improved digestion, and metabolic function, heart health support, reduced inflammation, and better nerve conductivity, to name a few. A high fiber content has been linked to an increase of healthy bacteria in the gut microbiome.
Jalapeno
This tasty pepper is packed with vitamin C, which can help support healthy skin and tissue as well as bolster immunity. Jalapenos also contain vitamin B6 which contributes to healthy brain functions like memory retention. While the capsaicin compound gives them their fiery taste, it also comes with some impressive potential health benefits. Studies have shown that it can potentially lower blood pressure and improve digestive health.
Bell Pepper
All types of bell peppers – green, yellow, orange, and red – boast high levels of vitamins A and C as well as fiber, folate, and carotenoids along with other beneficial nutrients. Vitamin C in particular helps reduce inflammation throughout the body while also promoting certain processes involved in the growth and repair of tissues. Eating bell peppers raw or cooked can provide a vast array of health benefits from healthier skin to improved eye function.
