Apple Pie Bread: Suggestions and Tips

This bread is just as delicious as the traditional version. To make this decadent below are some serving suggestions, recipe tips, and storing tips to help you get the most out of your apple pie bread.

Serving Suggestions

If you want to dress up your Apple Pie Bread even further, here are some serving suggestions:

  • Top each slice with a dollop of vegan whipped cream or ice cream.
  • Serve the bread sliced and grilled with a bit of vegan butter – so good!
  • Spread each slice with your favorite nut butter or preserves.
  • Make mini apple pie sandwiches by slicing the bread thinly and sandwiching it together with vegan caramel sauce or pudding in between each slice.
  • Enjoy a slice of apple pie bread topped with some crumbled vegan shortbread cookies. So good!

Storing Tips

This apple pie bread is best served freshly baked and still warm from the oven. However, if you have any leftovers, they will keep well stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. The bread can also be frozen for up to 3 months.

When reheating leftovers, I recommend slicing the bread first, then reheating individual slices in the microwave on 50% power for 30-45 seconds until warmed through. Alternatively, you can wrap the whole loaf in foil and reheat it in a 350°F oven for about 15 minutes until warmed throughout.

Recipe Tips

For the best results, be sure to use ripe apples in this recipe. Granny Smith apples are a good option, but feel free to use whatever type of apples you have on hand. If your apples are on the tart side, you may want to add a bit more sugar to the recipe. And if they’re particularly sweet, you may want to reduce the amount of sugar slightly. Also, be sure to chop the apples into small pieces so that they bake evenly throughout the bread. To make this gluten-free bread, feel free to use certified gluten-free flour that is also available in the supermarket.

This apple pie bread is the perfect way to enjoy the flavors of fall. It’s quick and easy to make, plus it’s vegan and can be easily gluten-free too! Enjoy it for breakfast or as a snack with your favorite toppings, or try one of my serving suggestions for a fun twist. Whatever way you enjoy it, I hope you love this apple pie bread as much as we do!
