  2. Baking powder & flour: I use all-purpose flour in these waffles. For the gluten-free options, choose certified gluten-free flour.
  3. Maple syrup: It adds a sweet flavor. If you don’t have this alternatively use raw sugar.
  4. Flax seeds: This is the best vegan egg substitute stir them into 3 tablespoons of water.
  5. Almond milk & butter: Use any non-dairy or plant-based milk and butter, they will work too. You can also use coconut oil for the vegan butter.
  6. Cinnamon & kosher salt: They balance the taste, if desired you can add ground nutmeg for a more fall flavor.

Flour Mixture:

  • 8 oz. all-purpose flour gluten-free option: choose certified gluten-free flour.
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon ground
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or use raw sugar

Apple mixture:

  • 1 tbsp flax seed stir them into 3 tbsp of water.
  • 8 oz. almond milk or any plant-based milk
  • 4 tbsp butter vegan, melted, or substitute coconut oil
  • 1 medium apple grated, peeled

Best served with:

  • whipped cream for the toppings, optional
  • pinch cinnamon
  • maple syrup drizzled, optional
