Peppermint Milkshake
Let’s toast St. Patrick’s Day with a green smoothie Peppermint Milkshake that will properly fuel your body, taste delicious, and…. is completely eco-friendly! This wonderful peppermint milkshake smoothie recipe will give your body a reason to rejoice. I’m talking about all of your favorite shamrock shake flavors, mixed to perfection with body-fueling nutrients.
The ice cream and whipped cream in a peppermint milkshake are usually dairy-based. If it’s created using chocolate, it’ll also have dairy in it. My version is dairy-free because I find that my stomach feels better when I don’t eat dairy. And, let’s face it, if I can enjoy a sumptuous pleasure while still feeling fantastic, I’m all in.
Peppermint Milkshake: How To Make Them
- This is a four-ingredient dish that is really easy to make.
- Simply fill your blender jug halfway with non-dairy milk (we used coconut milk), then add peppermint extract and a few drops of green food coloring.
- After that, mix in some vegan vanilla ice cream until smooth.
- Pour into two tall glasses and serve immediately or garnish with vegan whipped cream and green sanding sugar for a special touch!
Expert Tips
- In this shake, you can use any non-dairy milk you choose. We’ve made it with coconut milk and soy milk, but any milk will do; oat milk and cashew milk are two excellent alternatives.
- We used 1/4 tsp of green food coloring in our yogurt recipe to achieve the gorgeous green color.
- You can buy store-bought vegan ice cream or make your own vegan ice cream at home.
- The use of whipped cream is absolutely optional. If you don’t want to use it, you can get the same effect with any vegan whipped cream.
