Plant-based ingredient for a creamy dreamy vegan duchess!

Vegan duchess potatoes are a healthy, plant-based vegan recipe perfect for any meal. Made with just 9 ingredients, these creamy, dreamy vegan spuds are sure to please any vegan or potato lover. The best part? they’re secretly healthy! So go ahead gather the ingredients and enjoy your vegan duchess potatoes guilt-free!

1. Russet potatoes: I suggest using fresh for freshness rather than using frozen and thawed potatoes. You can use sweet potatoes and or feel free to substitute pumpkin or butternut squash to feel the thanksgiving vibes!

2. Cashew: To add a nutty texture to this recipe they are soaked in hot water before using in this recipe.

3. Almond milk: I prefer to use my favorite unsweetened plant-based milk for this recipe.

4. Cornstarch: Use to thicken the mixture and make sure they are measured correctly.

5. Vegan Butter: It’s either homemade or store-bought. If you are using a store-bought they are entirely plant-based.

6. Garlic and chives: They add an earthy flavor that you can’t resist tasting, so don’t skip these two ingredients.

7. Black pepper and salt: They balance the earthy flavor, and adjust to taste if needed.

8. Vegan Sauce: Drizzle with creamy or cheesy flavor if desired this is optional but a great addition. It’s either vegan sauce or vegan gravy and it’s homemade or store-bought.

Above are the plant-based ingredients to make these vegan duchess potatoes. Some are available in the supermarket and some are probably in your hand. If you are using store-bought make sure they are made completely plant-based. My vegan globetrotter tip is to make a habit to check the label. Now, If you have those required plant-based ingredients why not start making them? Fear not, they are easy to make!
